Who Gets Head Lice?
Most anyone can get head lice as they infest people of both genders and all ages, but children in preschool or elementary school, and those in their households, are most commonly affected.
Studies suggest that girls are infested more often than boys in the United States, which may be due to more frequent head-to-head contact and sharing of brushes, combs and/or hair accessories.
